The Camp Shalom Experience
Camp Shalom is what summer is meant to be! Nestled within 75 acres of towering pines along the Farmington River, Camp Shalom was built on a foundation of traditional summer camp values including building character and confidence, developing relationships and, most of all, having fun.
Our campers (and counselors) return year after year because of the feeling of community and belonging that we foster. For more than 40 years at our Windsor location, Camp Shalom has been a place where friendships and memories extend long past summer, often lasting a lifetime.
We offer a traditional day camp experience with both a pool and the riverfront. That means our campers outdoor aquatic adventure includes a lot of swimming, both Red Cross certified instructional and free swim, motor boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, water skiing, knee boarding and tubing.
When they are on dry land, the adventure continues with archery, climbing wall, ropes course, tennis, basketball, volleyball, tennis baseball, Ga-Ga, soccer, mini golf, newcomb, ultimate Frisbee, spike ball, flag football and many more sports.
The campers also enjoy a variety of art forms including kiln fired ceramics/pottery, painting and drawing, woodworking, jewelry making, music, hip-hop, our camp garden or a moment to feed the chickens.
Throughout the summer, we have special themes, friendly competitions, late nights and overnights, campfire cooking, songs, family dinners and moments to applaud each other’s accomplishments.
Camp Shalom is a timeless tradition of extraordinary summers our campers will always remember and people they will never forget.
